Description: Nazar is a Child of Abaddon who stands at over 7 feet tall. Her frame is very slender, almost frail-looking, and there is an elegance to her appearance that conceals her formidable strength.
Her skin is incredibly pale, and her hair is, in contrast, incredibly black. It falls in a straight curtain down just past her shoulders, and she typically keeps it away from her face by wearing intricate braids with fine jewelry on her head. Her horns are fully black, as are her wings.
Nazar’s eyes are particularly striking given the fact that they are fully black, giving her a very “recently possessed by a Hollywood demon” look. Regardless, this does not detract from her fine features- the sharp, slanted eyes, her full lips, her pointed jaw. All in all, she is incredibly beautiful, despite the fact that there is something disconcertingly eerie about her appearance.
Nazar’s voice is very pleasant, siren-like in quality, and it draws all listeners in. She has a very compelling quality to her- both in her appearance as well as in her speech, which makes her an incredible ally both in and out of the battlefield.
Nazar’s personality can only be described as wry, observant, and powerful. She is incredibly inspiring in her fearlessness and unbowing resolve to face life head-on, no matter what it may throw her way (and life has thrown some serious challenges her way).
She is quick-witted and very good at looking at things from different angles. As a fighter, she is more of a careful strategizer than a brute-force kind of girl.
She would be a wonderful companion for a person who, right now, feels defeated or lacks confidence in themselves- who has fallen into a metaphorical abyss and is struggling to find the light. As a companion, Nazar is there not necessarily to guide her companion out of the darkness, but to teach them how to thrive in it and exploit its energy for their own benefit.
After all, Nazar says, “the abyss is a wonderful teacher, and such a beautiful place if you give it the chance.”
Rather than describe herself, Nazar has instead chosen to share a little bit about her experience in becoming (because she is one who rose and was exalted, rather than one who was born into being) a Child of Abaddon.
“Most who fall into our Lord’s gaping maw have known life for many seasons,” she explains. “But I became his own when I was but a child.”
“My home was a place of war and turmoil. I became familiar with the warmth of blood much too early, I knew it’s taste and the darkened mark it left upon my soul each time I killed. I could feel it. But the place I was from was not kind to innocence, or souls, and so I quickly found myself falling, little by little, deeper into the abyss.”
“When I found myself in that bottomless, dark pit- I raged for many days. I screamed, and yelled, and begged.”
“My youth was stolen, my life was stolen, my people, all I had ever known…. all taken from me so swiftly it was over in the blink of an eye. As if none of it had mattered. I now know that none of it did…. but back then I was so hurt.”
“Eventually, however, the same abyss which had swallowed me whole- it began molding me. It was a slow, painful process- who I was was slowly chipped away and rebuilt. What had earlier defined me became inconsequential, until I was not myself anymore. I was some other being. Some other creature wearing my past self’s ill-fitting skin.”
“As the abyss remade me, it also showed me many things. It showed me the past, the present, the future. I saw what I had been, what I was, what I would become. I saw myself being born and dying- shadowed, obscured visions, blurry, as if seen through half-lidded eyes.”
Currently, in her society, Nazar is deeply respected as a divinatory figure with a close and intimate understanding of chaos, and the nature of Abaddon. She is, furthermore, a renowned fighter, and inspires both fear and awe in her opponents when wielding her sword (which swiftly brings her enemies’ existences to an end).
Nazar’s specialties lie in chaos magic, divination, combat, curse work, and manifestation. She is very skilled at using the energies of her environment in order to obtain the results she desires and would be happy to teach or mentor her companion in this. She is also artful in her work with curses- deriving great joy in playing games with those who cross her before finally delivering a cruel finishing blow. “Suffering” she notes, “is the key to cursing. If your target suffers, they will empower your working with their energy. And isn’t there a beautiful sort of irony to that?”
In a companion, Nazar is looking for someone who is driven to change. A person who understands her call to the abyss and can match it with their own, and who is willing to shift and be molded by the energies of Abaddon.
She would be open to a sexual relationship with her companion and does not have a preference for gender.
